Molly Clair and Ren O’Riley

I’m happy to introduce Molly Clair of Blue Mountain Cotons and Ren O’Riley of Blue Mountain Cotons.  They’ve produced a beautiful litter of four little girls.

Molly Clair is the daughter of our Emma Beth of Blue Mountain Cotons and our Clancy McGee of Crabapple Crossing, from our November, 2008 “M” litter.  She’s on the left in the photo above; she’s a permanent tri-color resembling her mother and grandmother Elliana of Ashenhurst.

Molly only shows slightly (third from the left, of the six puppies) in this litter photo with her siblings, with their mother Emma Beth.

As a puppy, I loved her distinctive markings, beautiful eyes, balanced structure and sweet temperament.

I still love all these things!

I placed Molly with close friends, a young couple with children, where she’s a happy family dog.  She passed her extensive CTCA one-year health exams and we let her mature further, breeding her after her second birthday.  I’ve visited her home often and she’s visited all of us here, and when she was ready to deliver her litter she was completely comfortable in her old home.

Ren O’Riley of Blue Mountain Cotons was one of the “A” puppies from our Madeline Mae of Crabapple Crossing and Columbia Gorge’s Wind Ryder of Vandayburg Southern Cotons.  I placed Ren with friends nearby who own one of Emma’s previous puppies, Molly’s sister Marigold.  After passing his CTCA qualifying exam, Ren served as the sire for our current litter with Molly.

Here he is as a puppy.

And here he is today, just over a year old.  He’s humble, respectful and a true clown.  I just love him.

Both these Cotons possess qualities I appreciate in my first dogs, qualities I learned to watch for in puppies with hopes of preserving in their offspring.  I’m thankful to both their families for providing excellent homes and care.  I couldn’t have done this without these friends’ significant cooperation and I hope it will be fun for them as well.  Both human moms and the children viewed the pregnancy-confirming ultrasound with me at my vet’s office, and everyone has had a chance to meet the little girls in their first days of life.

I’m very grateful.
