Maddie’s puppies celebrated their six week birthday with a vet visit for exams and vaccinations. Not the party they had hoped for perhaps, but we made an adventure of it. They all cooperated, with the usual range of responses. Ramsey was humble and accommodating, Rosie waged a minor battle with the oral de-wormer syringe, and Ramona flirted with the vet and wagged furiously, with just a slight pause during the shot itself.
I’m happy with the excellent dental structure; all seven puppies from both current litters have classic “scissor” bites. I love the curly tails. I don’t know what to make of Ramona’s nose. We’ve honestly never had a puppy’s nose fail to darken, although a previous puppy of Maddie’s had a grayish lower nose. Such drama and suspense.
And here are the “R” puppies.

They enjoyed some playtime outdoors this weekend. Here are the girls.
And they all seemed happy with tonight’s dinner menu.
