Eight weeks! How did they grow up so quickly?
Here is lovely Zelda.
One of the “Z” girls (nameless, so as not to embarrass her) is still waking up once in the middle of the night. We visit the piddle pad and since she’s a sociable young lady, she’s ready to party. Luckily it’s not hard to resist her at two in the morning, and back she goes to her small crate beside our bed. That small glitch aside, the girls are maturing in all the ways I wish, and I’m pleased.
We’re all around Boise on errands these days in our puppy stroller. I’m amazed at the puppies’ ability to stand at the front for long stretches of time to see the sights. Of course I watch for signs of fatigue, whether due to a puppy’s normal need for sleep or from crossing the threshold of over-stimulation. I’m diligent about zipping their cover closed when they do tire and settle for a nap. Socializing has the potential to be negative when it’s more than they can sustain, so sometimes a good experience means wrapping it up and heading home.
We continue to meet more of our household friends, the grooming tools. The girls are at ease with various things that buzz, click and whir, making that aspect of their care a breeze. Very marginally related to grooming, but as I glanced over their photos this evening I kept noticing those feathery tufts of hair over their ears. It’s silly but they’re one of my favorite Coton puppy attributes.
